I have a sunflower with a massive head - easily as big as a soup plate.. its only about six feet tall but the flower is 18 ins across..its on my allotment.
Why does Modo get a prize everytime, and we don't!
My courgettes are more prolific than his! My beans are longer, we've got beetroot coming out of our ears, the carrots are taking over the plot, and the dog has to eat the cucumbers, 'cos we can't keep up, and the neighbours are chucking them back at us...
Just because he's got a house all to himself, he thinks he can get everything he wants!
Scroblene! Your vegetables are charming! I dribble and salivate at the thought of fresh cucumber grown in a garden by your evergreen fingers! I swoon over your carrots and beetroot. I want to grate them together into a salad!
As I constantly jape when making coleslaw, "This for the 'grater' good"!
Ha ha ha ha!
I often make superb jokes like this in the kitchen, hence the red weals across my shoulder blades and several stab wounds from Mrs S who does not think them funny at all.
I'll get some more really funny ones, and post them later!
I was not trying to show you a photograph of myself, with the caption 'What do you think?' God I feel embarrassed to just consider that you might have thought that. I meant my change of avatar! I was getting tire of dear old Buer.
Lilith, just be careful, and come round here first so I can give you a torch and a bag of tomatoes.
I reckon I'm getting too old for all this rushing around. I need a chaise-lozenge; chaise-longuut; a lie down and a quick listen to a favourite song on the Ipod...
Hi Lilith Just thought it may be a good time to tell you and all the lovely "boy bloggers" that I`m not too well, Iv`e been struggling with Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years but now the bastard thing has hit my lower spine and making it very difficult to sit and walk ! Rheumatologist said that I must lay flat for at least 3 weeks ! Help !
Crikey True Blue, you poor thing!. Does that mean you have to take all sorts of nasty medication too? I think that RA is one of the diseases that one day we will look back at in horror at how we treated it.
Hi ! Lilith,Thanks for your kind words xx. Yes I do take all kinds of vile medication. Just hit a low ebb at present, sorry about the whinge. My GP tells me I have a slipped disc which has no connection to the RA. Nice ! I do manage to keep reasonably active most of the time but the thought of having to lie flat totally p....s me off. I must say I do enjoy reading your blog, you really cheer me up , just love the pics of your garden and "faceless" boyfriend. When I get my blog set up I intend to use it to raise more awareness about RA, I`m not one of the most seriously affected sufferers, however, but one has to be subjective about ill health ! Well the sun is shining and darling Trube has just made me a sandwich so I`m going to prostrate myself on the Sunlounger and bake ! Bugger the "doomsters" that say the sun is bad for you I just love it !

It's a flower... do I get a prize?
They are so cheery are they not Mutley?
Lucien, you always get a prize ;-)
Ah now don't get me started, Mrs. Modo is away visiting with relatives; and I am trying to be wholesome.
I just KNOW you can do wholesome Lucien, it just hurts a little x

Still don't know why Modo gets a prize though...
Scroblene,
Because I have the love of Jesus in my pretty grey eyes.
Lucien,
I'm in a forgiving frame of mind, and will acqueidscecscceq.... agree that your Bible eyes are indeed the way to Lilith's heart.
She is a splendid woman, and I will expect a postcard at least when you are taking her away for the fantasy hoiday you've both dreamed of.
But my marrow's bigger than yours.
So why is it that one word out of place from me and boyfriend swoops from the sky when Scroblene and Modo vie in single entendres .
I'd prefer more pictures of our Lilith :-)
Our most fragrant flower (swoon)
(Is boyfriend in the desert yet ???)
Mr. Mania,
Mayhap it is because we are not sitting in our Mini Clubman with an overnight bag waiting...
What do you think?
... Or maybe?
Modo! You tease! My eyesight is not good enough to see that photo properly.
Boys, boys, I love you all!!
Boyfriend says to tell you he is handy with a horse whip and is indiscriminate with it. (I've not seen it myself)
No!
I was not trying to show you a photograph of myself, with the caption 'What do you think?'
God I feel embarrassed to just consider that you might have thought that.
I meant my change of avatar! I was getting tire of dear old Buer.
God I need a lie down.
I mean tired... and besides it's not a photograph, it's a painting.
OH Lucien, how tiresome of me! For misunderstanding your intent with the illustration captioned "What do you think?"
No, I prefer the original avatar, of the three..There's a nice pic of you up on Babel you could use..with all the medals...
LUCIEN!
You mentioned Mayhap...MAYHAP!
Cuddler?

I do love a medal.

Blindfolded ?
